This hike I did in reverse of what I did last time.  I parked at the big lot on Spruceston and started up the bridal path.  When I reached the hairpin turn, turned left and went up the ridge to the top of Rusk.  This has a stupidly steep section, but with microspikes and a bit of fresh snow, it wasn't that bad to get up and find the canister.  At this point, the tracks ended, so on went the snowshoes and over to Hunter I went.  I mostly went along what the likely herd path is, but there were a few places, mostly coming off East Rusk that I went a little awry.  I did get to the bridal path again at the the big turn, and just kept the shoes on even though most people going up the trail were in spikes only.

I got to to the top with little problems and many people.  It was a beautiful day, but I didn't feel like taking my shoes off to climb the tower, so I talked to a couple people and then headed on to South West Hunter, stopping by the viewpoint on the way there.  With shoes and in the winter, this section of trail is quick, and next thing I know I'm at the lean-to and then at the turn off for the peak.  Reach the peak quickly with no issues and then it was time to hit the DP again and head down to the falls.  Right around Geiger Point I switched back to spikes for the rocky descent.  I slipped and twisted things a few times on the way down.  Ouch!   But I kept going and was out without any major injury.

This makes 15/33 for winter 3500.
