Today, I completed my Catskill 3500 on Slide. I did this exact same hike in December, and remembered it being a rather easy one overall, nothing too steep, a nice view towards and just after the top, and relatively short (5.6 miles per the maps).
Day started at 630 with my friend Hiram and his son and one of his friends. By 815, without even realizing that we made it to the top. I barely had to stop on the way up, it was a steady slow hike distracted with conversation. On top, well, we were on the highest point in the Catskills, and we were in the clouds. A small break and we could see Friday and Balsam Cap, which I was on only a couple days before.
This make peak 37/37. I have the paperwork filled out, and will mail it with a check tomorrow.
