This time, I went and worked on completing the Tongue range for the Lake George 12, doing the lower 3 peaks.  I started off on the crossover trail and next thing I knew I was on the ridge and heading south.  When I got to 5th peak, it was a slight backtrack up to the leanto and actual peak.  The views there were gorgeous, and I could easily see myself camping there, if not for the lack of reliable water nearby (yes, I can hike down to the lake, but that's a steep climb back up.)

I backtracked back to the trail and before I knew it, I was on French Point and then First peak, both of which had lovely views.  I did get a little lost on First though.  I started following what I thought was the trail to find out it wasn't.  After talking to a few people, what I was following was probably the bushwack down to cut a couple miles off the hike.  Needless to say, I did follow the proper trail and found myself at the end of the range.  I was getting tired, so I didn't go to the actual point, but instead hiked out along the lake... the long and muddy hike out.  But, I did it, and sadly I once again didn't see the rattlesnakes that live on the range.... it was a nice warm afternoon, but they weren't out sunning.  This makes 11/12 for the Lake George 12.
